There’s no doubt that one of the best things about Aruba is the beautiful beaches. One of the best things about Aruba’s beaches is that the water is generally calm, which means they are ideal for families.
During our week in Aruba, we visited a lot of Aruba’s beaches, and found some that were particular gems for us.
Here are our favorite family-friendly beaches in Aruba.
Just be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen as the sun can be intense:

It’s not just its name that makes Baby Beach ideal for little ones and parents. This beautiful horseshoe shaped beach lagoon is sheltered by large rock formations, meaning that there is little to no wind in most parts. As a result, the water is exceptionally calm, which has led to the beach’s reputation as one of the best family beaches in Aruba.
It’s a bit of a drive to get to Baby Beach, as it is on the opposite side of the island to the most well-known of Aruba’s beaches. However, we actually liked this, as it meant we had a little more privacy to spend time together as a family. If you prefer your beaches uncrowded like we do, then Baby Beach is a good option.
Although most of Baby Beach is very calm, some of the rock formations have crumbled over the years and, as a result, there can be areas where the tide is quite rough so test the waters and watch the little ones closely. Also, be aware that due to its remote location, Baby Beach has fewer facilities than the larger beaches.

We all loved this beautiful beach, and could see why Travel + Leisure had named it amongst the top ten in the world. The sand is soft and white, while the swimming is excellent. Eagle Beach is the longest beach strip in Aruba, so another great thing about it is that while it has all the facilities that you need, you can walk a bit further down and get away from the crowds. Perfect if you want to play a game of beach cricket or soccer as a family!
